Filial piety is the most important of all virtues, "respecting and loving the elder" is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. On March 8 Women''s Day, Yangzijiang volunteers together with the Civilization Practice Volunteers of Jiangyin-Jingjiang Industrial Zone went to the nursing home to condolence the elderly and let the old people feel the love and warmth of the society.

When we just stepped into the nursing home, we received a warm welcome from the dean, staff, other volunteers and the old people. Then the dean led us to have a tour of the nursing home. The dining hall is fully equipped, clean and tidy. The small blackboard displayed the daily menu. In the manual room, the elderly who can take care of themselves did some simple and small processing work here to earn sporadic living expenses, how much they get, the government will subsidize the same amount to them to provide protection for the lives of the elderly, which is warm and practical. Finally, the volunteers visited the living room of the elderly, asking about their bodies and daily life etc. Although we only had a short chat, we saw the warmth of their hearts from the eyes of the old people.

The sunshine was just right, all the volunteers brought a wonderful entertainment to the old people outdoors: Dancing, singing, magic shows, recitation, etc.

On the same day, there were two old people who had birthdays. The volunteers provide flowers and birthday cakes. Everyone sang a birthday song and sent heartfelt blessings to the old people. The site was warm and the air was filled with sweet.

This event not only gave the old people spiritual comfort, but also promoted the self-worth of volunteers, and it was the promotion of corporate culture. Here, we advocate more people to take action and care for everyone who needs help in the society. Promote the spirit of volunteers, walk with modern civilization, and make progress together with society.
